Clear plastic containers are a favorite. Not only do you see what you have and how much you got but the shapes and colors of the contents help make the galley interesting. Our preferred brand is OXO, http://www.oxo.com because of their ability to seal and the variety of containers that are offered.
The twin cutting boards were cut from a retail item and then notched to fit the sinks. The do double duty, our intention on every idea, as a cutting board, an additional horizontal surface to use and together and they cover the stove top nicely. Just do not light the burners!

LETS START WITH THE BASICS: WATER
Andiamo's water tank holds 40 gallons and unless the trip is extraordinary, no effort is made to conserve water; it is topped off at nearly every stop. Thus far, we have no need for supplemental sources such as a a water maker. The drinking water is filtered using a Brita pitcher/system. It is simple, easy, effective and getting filters is no issue.

MAKING ICE
This ice tray is really nice because it has a clip on lid, like a tupperware lid. Fill up the tray and put in the freezer with no spills. This ice tray was found a boat show.

ADDING LIGHT:
Seems like we do dishes and galley cleaning after the sun goes down and found doing this chore with the all the interior lights on, just a bit to bright. So, we added the light that is pictured above the porthole. The factory was kind of enough to sell us one that they use and the installation was very straight forward. Power was obtained from the other wall mounted light using Wiremold, a product found at Lowe's and other big box stores, as it creates a surface mounted channel to run the wire through as there is no space behind the wood paneling. The Wiremold channel was first spray painted brown, then cut and using its own adhesive, was attached to the wall. Yes, the chain hook for the porthole was removed as we never, ever open it.
Using the Great Space
Plenty of Storage! The photos above and top-down looks into the two drawers that are used for food storage. Labeling the tops with a permanent marker saves a lot of time in removing the can and looking at the label. Using plastic containers and freezer-style bags makes a quick and neat way to organize. The photos below are looks into two of the four cabinet doors. Notice the use of non-skid material with the plates and bowls - they really stay there.
These two photos below are of the drawer cabinet, only without the drawers. The photo on the right shows the big opening that reveals the systems behind the cabinets. We have lost items through that space when it went over the top of the drawer and disappeared down into the bowels of the tug. The photo on the right shows the fix: 1/4 inch plywood that was installed with a couple of cleats. Both of the cabinets containing drawers got this treatment.
MAKING THE REFRIGERATOR SPACE MORE EFFICIENT
Adding these two drawers created a lot of space efficiency in the refrigerator. "Refrigerator Bins" were purchased from Bed, Bath and Beyond, these two fit perfectly side-by-side. Create space by getting rid all of that unnecessary packing.

A GREAT OVEN: This is our first oven in the 6 boats that we have owned and we love it. The cooktop is fast and hot and the oven is very useful. We quickly found out that the oven is hotter than the controls indicate. Putting in this oven thermometer found that it was 50 degrees hotter and has improved the baking that we do. The propane use is very low and the propane tank lasts a very long time. The fiberglass propane tank that came with the tug was recalled. The factory provided the opportunity to purchase a new tank and the modifications to the propane locker at a great deal. The story behind the demise of the fiberglass tank is a sordid one and the company is out of business.
Cutting Board Doubles as a cooktop cover that Creates Counter space
A cutting board obtained at a run-of-the-mill retail store was cut and the edges notched to fit the sink so they would not slide. Coincidently, the size fit the stove top nicely. The cutting boards spend more of their time as temporary counter tops on the stove and on the sink. They are stored, stacked, behind the stove top.
